DSM02 Power Cable Orientation

When installing the DSM02 Character Module into your modular synthesizer, make sure that the power cable is oriented correctly. The DSM02 Character Module gives you the option to derive 5V local power from it if your power supply is 12V. If your modular system provides 5V power, the DSM02 can accommodate that as well.

• The power cable’s orientation is indicated on the PCB with the words “Red Stripe”. A protection circuit protects the module from damage in the event the power cable is plugged in backwards.

• Use the included jumper to select your power requirements. Set the jumper to Local if your power supply is 12V. Set the jumper to System if your power supply is 5V.
